About This Role:

The Senior Manager, Finance Executive Advisory – Account-to-Report (A2R) is responsible for providing expert guidance to A2R process owners and transformation leaders in member organisations, managing existing client relationships and delivering compelling insight that helps retain members as long-term clients.

  • Provide Expert Guidance: Be a trusted advisor, able to coach finance leaders and their direct reports on important issues related to finance operating model transformations.
  • Business Development: Responsible for client retention of an assigned client portfolio in collaboration with account management.
  • Develop Thought-Leadership: Collaborate within the global finance advisory practice to support the production of novel insight, support the creation of rigorous analysis of research, deliver engaging oral and written presentations
  • Community Building: Support the development and maintenance of a network of clients to exchange best practices in membership events. Participate in in-person and virtual member events.
  • Event and Briefing Coordination, Preparation and Delivery: Comfortable leading formal and informal briefings to client companies virtually and in person both as part of the Advisory calendar and on demand. 

Experience and skills:

  • Qualified accountant with sufficient process depth and breadth to consult on a wide range of General Accounting and Reporting topics including Inter-company Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Enterprise Consolidation, and External Reporting.
  • Significant consulting and/or industry experience in the following areas: General accounting and close, finance organization design, finance systems design.
  • Attentive listener with strong conversational skills and an orientation towards understanding client context and providing specific solutions to specific challenges. 
  • Enthusiasm for the digital transformation of finance processes and ability to provide advice on how to approach the digital transformation of finance processes.
  • Seeks an expert advisor career model distinct from traditional project-oriented consulting.
  • Able to absorb the client’s situations and issues and then respond with tangible actionable advice that leverages research, data, case studies, diagnostic assets and points of view.
  • Analytical skills to interpret best practice insight, identify industry trends and support the development of compelling, data-driven research insights.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in English
  • Other European languages (s) German or French desirable
