Our Client is a leading strategic consultancy and leading enterprise and best practices consulting firm working with global companies.


The consultant / senior consultant in the EMEA Benchmarking practice is a client-facing role at the heart of their client’s value proposition. Our clients are major players (e.g. FTSE 100, DAX 30, Fortune 500) from a wide range of industries. The role is highly varied and requires agile, responsive, organised and motivated individuals to support clients through complex performance improvement projects.
The consultant / senior consultant in the EMEA benchmarking practice will begin by supporting, then rapidly progress to leading, the day-to-day project management, planning, performing and reporting activities of benchmarking projects.

Core activities involve:


Participating in project planning activities with client teams.
Delivering training to client resources on benchmarking methodology
Facilitating and supporting the client as they collect performance data.
Validating data and seeking sign-off from the client on its accuracy.
Support senior colleagues in the creation and development of client project deliverables
Interacting with senior client executives
Ultimately, as the consultant / senior consultant develops their knowledge of Intellectual Property and
methodology and builds strong consulting skills, they will be expected to act as the primary project manager on client engagements. Longer-term professional development could involve support of business development, development of subject matter expertise in selected fields, a leadership role within the practice, or rotation into one of the other lines of business.

The role requires the following personal and professional attributes:


Intellectual curiosity and interest in performance management and strategy for business and support functions (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement).
Very strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and activities across multiple, simultaneous projects.
A high degree of professionalism and ability to interact and engage clients, ranging from administrative resources through to C-Level executives, using empathy, content knowledge and personality to build long-term relationships.
Very strong analytical skills, especially relating to the ability to collate large amounts of data and then identify and concisely communicate insights gained from this information.
The ability to work independently without close supervision as well as in small teams of professionals across all of the lines of business.
Trustworthiness and personal integrity when accessing confidential and client data and information which is commercially sensitive.
Numerical literacy, strong MS Office skills and an eye for detail.
Non-mandatory but beneficial skills include fluency in a second language (besides fluent English).
The consultant / senior consultant should also be willing to travel (the role combines onsite and offsite work) and hold an EU passport.

Role:

The consultant / senior consultant would report to the managers/directors in the EMEA benchmark
practice. The role is based in either London or Germany.
The consultant / senior consultant will be trained in methodology and IP via a combination of modular training courses, consulting soft-skill training as well as ‘on the job’ experience working directly with clients.
