002226 Principal Engineer – AI \ BPM required in the UK Salary Negotiable

They are expanding their business due to client demands they require a Principal Engineer to be part of their team. They are excited about helping their customers leverage data and laying the foundation for the actual, practical implementation of machine learning.

They work closely with their customer and use an agile framework to deliver high-quality results at pace.

Requirement:

We are looking for an experienced individual who is passionate about developing world-class solutions and who is keen to coach developers who will follow in their footsteps. While leading multiple small teams of developers across a number on projects in order to deliver the best solutions for our customers, you will also be responsible for supporting the technical development of the engineers – both on project and through targeted training.  Appian is currently our primary development platform, however increasingly we are looking to other technology solutions (for example Azure and Blue Prism) to enable us to lead in our field. This role will have significant influence over the technical direction taken over the coming months and years.

Essential:

Your responsibilities:

• Run efficient development teams, with a focus on delivering quality solutions by following and optimising the methodology
• Manage all stakeholders regarding technical decisions, working closely with product owners and project managers.
• Drive positive change across the Engineering team
• Develop Engineering methodology through best practice and design patterns.
• Provide supervision and guidance to development teams
• Coach developers through both structured training and project support.

The ideal candidate will bring:

6+ years working on software projects (whole lifecycle from requirements gathering to solution delivery to the customer), ideally in long-running projects (6 months+).

• In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, Python)
• Proficient in SQL coding and database design (relational, reporting and analytics)
• Proven experience in software architecture design

• Experience delivering in an agile environment
• Experience in low code development platforms (such as Appian, Pega, etc)
• Experience in both workflow and state-driven software solutions.
