002227 Senior Software Development Engineers in Test – 6 months Fixed Term Contract – Could increase – UK wide.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to be part of an Agile Project. Working within an automation test environment on progressive technology solutions partnering clients as a Consultant.

Responsibilities include:            

Ability to write automated test scenarios using Specflow in a .NET environment

•             Knowledge of applying best practices within an automated testing framework

•             Working knowledge of version control of test artefacts

•             Knowledge about object-orientated principles

•             Experience in automated testing of APIs and web services

•             Good working knowledge of SQL

•             Experience in coding with C#

•             Knowledge about CI pipelines and dependencies

•             Strong Debugging skills within the Microsoft development stack

•             Good understanding of the use of test data within automated tests

•             Experience in working closely with development teams

Experience Required:

     Experience in building complex test automation frameworks from scratch using Java (we can be flexible on languages as long as the foundation is strong and candidates can easily switch from one language to another – java is the preference )

·        Good coding skills (SOLID, DI, Design Patterns, etc.)

·        Able to unit test the framework built

·        Working with repositories (preferably Git)

·        Automation experience (Cucumber/Specflow, XUnit, TestNg, etc.)

·        Web UI testing experience (different browsers)

·        API testing experience

·        Rest Assured

·        Mobile Web/App testing experience (if the automation skills are good then this is can be a “nice to have”)

·        Ability to work as part of a team or on their own (consultant level)

·        Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Mocks and stubs
• Advanced Devops knowledge
• Deep Agile Development knowledge
• Ability to lead projects and design test strategy
